During this historic election year, the Seward County Republican Party is excited to announce the formation of several new committees designed to energize our efforts and expand our reach within the county. We are calling on you—Seward County Registered Republicans—to join us at this crucial time by contributing your unique talents and skills to our cause.
These new committees present a fantastic opportunity for you to get involved, make a tangible impact, and help us promote our shared values and principles. Whether you are passionate about community outreach, technology, voter engagement, event planning, parliamentary procedure, fundraising or legislation, there is a place for you on our team!
Attached to this email, you will find detailed descriptions of each committee, outlining their purposes and missions. We encourage you to review the list and consider how you might contribute your unique gifts and skills. Your involvement is vital to our success, and we believe that by working together, we can make a significant difference in Seward County and show Republicans across the state of Nebraska what we can accomplish when we are united!

Committee Descriptions
RULES AND RESOLUTIONS COMMITTEE
The Rules and Resolutions Committee, an essential component of the Seward County Republican Party, reviews, drafts, and recommends rules, resolutions, and constitutional amendments that guide the organization's operations and policy positions. The committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that the party's procedures are ethical, fair, transparent, and in alignment with its mission and values.
Specific Tasks Include:
Review and Revise Party Rules: Evaluate the existing bylaws, rules, and procedures of the Seward County Republican Party especially as they pertain to meetings, conventions, resolutions and amendments and update as necessary to ensure they are current and effective.
Draft Resolutions: Develop and propose resolutions that reflect the party's stance on various political, social, and economic issues. Ensure resolutions are clear, concise, and align with the broader goals of the Republican Party.
Facilitate Discussion and Debate: Lead discussions within the committee and the broader party membership on proposed rules and resolutions. Ensure a fair and open process for debating and voting on these proposals.
Coordinate with Party Leadership: Work closely with the County Chair, Executive Committee, and other relevant bodies to ensure alignment and coordination in party operations and policy positions.
Parliamentary Assistance-Guide and assist the party in the use of Robert’s Rules of Order during business meetings.
Address Grievances: Address and resolve complaints and disputes within the party, the CCC or the Executive Board, ensuring a fair and transparent process to achieve conflict resolution.
FINANCE COMMITTEE
Specific Tasks Include:
Fundraising
Develop Fundraising Strategies:
Create comprehensive plans for fundraising activities, including events, direct mail campaigns, online fundraising, and major donor programs.
Organize Fundraising Events:
Plan and execute events such as dinners, auctions, and rallies to raise funds for the party.
Identify and Cultivate Donors:
Identify potential donors, cultivate relationships, and solicit contributions from individuals, businesses, and other organizations.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
Prepare Annual Budget:
Develop and propose an annual budget for the party's activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Monitor Expenditures:
Track actual expenditures against the budget, making adjustments as needed and ensuring financial discipline.
Forecast Financial Needs:
Project future financial needs and develop plans to meet those needs through fundraising and cost management.
Financial Oversight and Management
Maintain Financial Records:
Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenditures, and donor information.
Compliance with Regulations:
Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal laws, including campaign finance regulations.
Audit and Reporting:
Arrange for regular financial audits and prepare financial reports for the party leadership and members.
Donation Management:
Process Contributions:
Ensure all contributions are processed promptly and accurately, with appropriate acknowledgments sent to donors.
Maintain Donor Database:
Keep a comprehensive and secure database of all donors.
VOTER ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Voter Engagement Committee plays a vital role in mobilizing voters, increasing voter turnout, and ensuring that the party's message reaches the electorate.
Specific tasks include:
Voter Outreach and Education:
Identify Target Voter Groups:
Research and identify key demographics, including underrepresented and swing voters, to focus outreach efforts.
Voter Registration Drives:
Organize and conduct voter registration events in various community locations, ensuring new voters are registered.
Educational Workshops:
Hold workshops and seminars to educate voters on the party’s platform, candidates, and key issues.
Communication and Messaging:
Develop Outreach and Communication Strategies:
Create and implement strategies to effectively communicate the party’s values, goals, and activities to the community.
Create brochures, flyers, social media content, and other materials to communicate the party’s message and voter information.
Utilize Social Media:
Manage social media accounts to engage with voters, share information, and promote events.
Email and Phone Campaigns:
Conduct email and phone campaigns to reach out to voters with important updates.
Neighborhood Captain Recruitment and Training:
Recruit Neighborhood Captains:
Identify 5 District Captains who will identify and recruit volunteers to serve as neighborhood captains for 50-60 households each.
Conduct Training Sessions:
Provide training using the state-party Neighborhood Captain Plan.
Training Materials:
Distribute manuals, guides, and online resources to support neighborhood captains.
Voter Mobilization:
Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) Campaigns:
Develop and execute GOTV strategies to ensure high voter turnout on election day.
Transportation Services:
Arrange transportation for voters who need assistance getting to polling stations.
Phone Banking:
Organize phone banking sessions to remind voters to vote and provide information on polling locations and hours.
Election Day Operations:
Poll Watching and Vote Counting Watchers:
Organize poll workers and watchers to ensure the integrity of the voting process and address any issues that arise.
Candidate Recruitment
Recruit Candidates:
Scout for individuals with strong leadership qualities, community involvement, and alignment with Republican values.
Maintain a list of potential candidates for various local offices.
Reach out to potential candidates to gauge their interest and encourage them to run for office.
Provide information on the benefits and responsibilities of holding a public office.
Candidate Support:
Provide potential candidates with guidance and resources, including information on filing requirements, campaign strategies, and public speaking.
Organize training sessions and workshops to prepare candidates for campaigning and governance.
Mentorship and Networking:

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & EVENTS COMMITTEE
The Community Outreach & Events Committee is our largest and arguably most important committee! It is responsible for building strong relationships within the community, promoting the party's values, encouraging civic participation, and organizing events that enhance the party’s visibility and engagement with local residents. Specific tasks include:

Develop Community Partnerships:
Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders.
Attend Community Events:
Participate in local parades, fairs, and festivals to increase visibility and connect with voters.
Event Planning and Execution:
Organize Party Events:
Plan and host events such as town halls, public speaker forums and candidate Meet and Greets.
Promote Party Events:
Promote events through various channels, including social media, local media, and community bulletin boards to publicize events and encourage attendance.
Facilitate Candidate Visits:
Coordinate visits from party candidates and officials, providing opportunities for direct interaction with voters.
Fundraising Event Planning:
Assist the Fundraising Committee with event planning.
Educational Initiatives:
Civic Education Programs:
Develop programs to educate the community about civic responsibilities, the political process, and the importance of participation.
Workshops and Seminars:
Conduct workshops on topics such as voter registration, understanding local issues, and how to engage in local government.
Youth Engagement:Create initiatives aimed at engaging young people in the political process
LEGISLATION WATCH COMMITTEE
The Legislation Watch Committee is responsible for monitoring legislative activities, informing party members about relevant laws and policies, and advocating for the party's positions. Specific tasks include:
Legislative Monitoring and Analysis:
Track Legislation:
Monitor local, state, and federal legislation that impacts the community and aligns with the Republican party platform.
Analyze Bills:
Analyze proposed bills and amendments to understand their potential impact on LD 24.
Maintain a Legislative Database:
Keep a comprehensive and up-to-date database of relevant legislation, including bill status, summaries, and voting records.
Communication and Reporting:
Regular Updates:
Provide regular updates to party members and leadership on significant legislative developments.
Legislative Alerts:
Issue alerts on urgent legislative matters that require immediate attention or action.
Prepare Reports:
Provide reports on key legislative issues, including analysis and recommended actions.
Track Voting Records:
Monitor and document the voting records of elected officials on key issues to inform party members and guide endorsements.
Advocacy and Lobbying

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
The Technology Committee is responsible for managing the party’s Website and Social Media Platform to enhance the party’s digital presence to support its goals and initiatives.
Specific tasks Include:
Technology Management:
Database Management: Work with the Voter Engagement Committee to manage our voter database and ensure data is accurate, up-to-date, and secure.
Numinar Tech Support: Provide technical support to candidates, party members and volunteers utilizing Numinar (Training will be provided).
Digital Communications:
Website Management: Maintain and update the party’s website to ensure it provides current and relevant information.
Social Media Management: Develop and manage the party's social media accounts, creating content that engages and informs followers.
Email Campaigns: Design and execute email campaigns to communicate with party members, supporters, and the broader community.
Event Technology Support:
Virtual Events: Organize and manage virtual events, ensuring they are technically sound and engaging.
Event Promotion: Utilize digital platforms to promote party events and encourage participation.
Audiovisual Support: Provide AV support for in-person events, including sound systems, projectors, slide shows and recording equipment.
BOARD LIAISONS COMMITTEE
Purpose: The Board Liaison Committee is tasked with maintaining an active presence at local government and community meetings, ensuring that the Republican Party is informed about and engaged with local governance. This committee helps to monitor and report on the activities of various boards, fostering transparency and advocating for policies that align with Republican values.
Responsibilities:
Attend Meetings:
Assign committee members to attend monthly meetings of local school boards, county commissioner meetings, city council meetings, village boards and Natural Resources District (NRD) meetings.
Ensure consistent attendance at these meetings to monitor discussions and decisions.
Report and Document:
Take detailed notes during meetings to capture key discussions, decisions, and upcoming agenda items.
Prepare and submit summary reports to party leadership and relevant committees, highlighting important issues and potential areas of concern.
Advocate and Engage:
Represent Republican values and viewpoints during public comment periods at meetings.
Engage with board members and local officials to advocate for policies that align with the party’s platform.
Inform and Mobilize:
Inform party members and the broader community about important developments and decisions made at these meetings.
Mobilize party members to attend and participate in meetings when critical issues are being discussed.
Build Relationships:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with local government officials, school board members, and other community leaders.
Facilitate communication between these officials and the party to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
Training and Coordination:
Provide training for committee members and volunteers on effective meeting attendance, note-taking, and public speaking.
Coordinate schedules and ensure coverage of all relevant meetings by committee members or volunteers.
Feedback and Improvement:
Collect feedback from attendees to continuously improve the committee’s effectiveness.
