Seward County Republican Party Announces Passage of Resolution for Party Unity
Hastings, NE – The Seward County Republican Party is pleased to announce the successful passage of a landmark resolution promoting unity within the Nebraska Republican Party. The resolution, submitted by Seward County GOP Chairwoman Danna Seevers, was adopted at the Nebraska Republican Party State Central Committee meeting held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Hastings, Nebraska.
The "Resolution for Unity in the Nebraska Republican Party" (R24-004) emphasizes the need for Republicans across the state to stand united behind the conservative principles that define the party. The resolution highlights the importance of respectful dialogue and working together toward shared goals.
Chairwoman Danna Seevers expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support received by the resolution, stating, "This resolution is a testament to the dedication of Nebraska Republicans to maintain a united front. Our strength lies in our unity, and we must come together to support our candidates, uphold our values, and get Donald J. Trump elected as the 47th President of the United States!”
The resolution calls upon all Nebraska Republicans to prioritize party unity, particularly in the post-primary environment. It urges them to support their elected representatives and grassroots leaders as they work toward advancing the party's shared vision for the state and nation.
In addition to the unity resolution, the State Central Committee also adopted a resolution
(R24-005) endorsing the incumbent Republican federal delegation primary nominees, including Senator Deb Fischer, Senator Pete Ricketts, and Representatives Mike Flood, Don Bacon, and Adrian Smith.
"The Nebraska Republican Party is stronger when we are united," Seevers added. “This resolution reflects the desire of a majority of Republicans across this state to defeat Kamala Harris and the radical left agenda and secure a prosperous future for our state.”
Copies of the resolution will be distributed to all Republican Party county chairs, State Central Committee members, elected officials, and grassroots organizations, encouraging them to adopt and promote these principles of unity.
